WHY DONATE?

Fiddling is a lively art form combining the best of music, tradition, heritage and community spirit. As a not-for-profit music organization, the Calgary Fiddlers Association is committed to growing the number of youth playing the fiddle. Our work continues to touch hundreds of youth each year due in large part to charitable contributions of funds generously donated by individual supporters, foundations and government funders. These annual funding gifts not only provide the means to coach the youth in our program, but they also help fund a variety of special projects, workshops and concerts. This year's funds went to jump-start or continue the following programs:
-
Coaching & Weekly Rehearsals (for over 70 youth)
-
Outreach Program - Seniors Facility Shows
-
Outreach Program - Christmas in the Malls
-
Outreach Program - Spread Fiddle Music - School Shows
-
Workshops (BARRAGE, Daniel Gervais)
-
Community Concerts (Fiddle Fantasia, Bow & Fiddle Barn Dance, Sweet on Fiddlin', Fiddle Frenzy)
Through the Alberta Community Spirit Matching Donation Program, the Calgary Fiddlers Association can receive funding to match your donation (corporate donations do not qualify — applicable on individual donations only).
Tax receipts will be issued for all donations of $10 or more.
